Bereavement
I looked for her outside the glass sliding door. At first all I could see was the dark. Then, my eyes adjusted, and I could make out the faint wet sheen of her ivory fangs. She stood framed by the drooping branches of the weeping willow. Fireflies winked erratic pastel Morse code messages only they could decipher.
"So...you finally came to realize that you really want to submit yourself to me. Poor sheep. What happened to all of that bravado, and iron will, you clamored about for so long?" She mocked. "I expected you to hold out much longer, to really build my lust for you."
"I have none left." I murmured, looking to my feet, and opened the door. "She doesn't love me. She is with another man.
"Did I not warn you that females are fickle? Poor, poor sheep."
She glided to the opening, her face scant inches from mine. I looked up. I drank in her dark beauty for the last time. Her pallid skin exquisite against the raven mane of shag hair; the delicious wicked sparkle in her mocha eyes made me drunk with pleasure, and tingle with fear. She smelled of cinnamon and tainted meat.
"Invite me in."
Her voice had the qualities of both honey and gravel. I could not look away, as she smiled in triumph. Too late for me to recant even if I wanted, I was her's now. I tilted my head to make it easier for her.
"Do as you wish," I sighed.

General comments from your fellow writer 2:
I would classify this as Flash Fiction rather than short story genre. As such it is cleverly constructed and had great atmosphere. My favourite sentence is "she melled of cinnamon and tainted meat" I didn't like the title though. I think the word 'bereavement' misleads. This is essentially about the conflict between life and death, the wolf-woman and the sheep-man, the hunter and the prey. I liked this metaphorical aspect of your writing and the way the purpose of the story crept up on me. Perhaps a different title would add to this tantalising tale. I am wondering if using the present tense might make this story more vivid and gripping ... just a thought. I also think you need to develop the narator's character a little more ... make him more tentative and self-pitying in an ovine way if possible. Great writing, though, keep it up.Review 3:
